disruptとdestruct-意味の違いと使い方を解説
disruptとdestructは、
スペルが似ていて、意味（混乱させる、破壊する）も似ています。
今回は、この2語の違いについて説明します。
それぞれの
形容詞（disruptive/destructive）、
名詞（disruption/destruction）も紛らわしいので、
しっかり区別して覚えていきましょう。
まず基本の意味ですが、
disruptには、「正常な状態を混乱させる」という意味があります。
そこからの派生で、次の2つの意味で使われます。
「1.（行為を）妨げる、中断させる」
disrupt the power supply recovery 電気の復旧を妨げる
「2.～を混乱させる（秩序を）壊す」
disrupt the meeting 会議を混乱させる
また、
destructには、「何かを意図的に破壊する」という意味があります。
「（故意に）破壊する」＝intentionally destroy
という意味で、環境破壊、災害や戦争による「破壊」という意味で使われることが多く、
destruct the global environment. 地球環境を破壊する
のように使われます。
