lubricantとgreaseの違いを解説
lubricantは、日本語なら「潤滑剤」という訳になり、
スプレータイプの潤滑剤や、液状のオイル、
greaseも含めた潤滑を高める材料の総称です。
一方のgreaseは、
自転車のベアリングやチェーン、加工機などに塗布する
摺動製を高める、粘度のある油のことを指します。
また、greaseには、「食肉の脂」「皮脂」という意味もあります。
名詞lubricantの動詞形はlubricateで、

のように使います。
greaseの場合は、名詞、動詞の両刀使いです。
