turnの動詞句-turn to～とturn into～の違いを解説
turnのベースとなる意味は、「回転する」です。
そこから派生して、次のような基本的な3つの意味が生まれます。
90度回転→「曲がる」
180度回転→「向きを変える」
表と裏がひっくり返る→「変化する」
自動詞／他動詞両方で使われるだけでなく、
名詞として、
「回転」「方向転換」「転機」「順番」
という意味で使うこともできます。
辞書で調べると、日本語訳はもっとたくさん載っていますが、
turnの基本の意味を押さえた上で、熟語を確認していきましょう。
turn to Aは、
「turn to right 右に曲がる」
「turn to her 彼女の方を向く」
以外に、次のような意味でも使われます。
「1.（A=ページを）開く」
「2.Aに変わる」
「3.Aを頼る」
一方、
turn into～は、
「（変化して）～になる」という意味になります。
turn to～にも「2.～に変わる」という意味がありますが、
intoは、「変化を表すinto」と呼ばれ、
氷→水（変化して変わる）---Ice turned into water.
愛→憎悪（変化して変わる）---Love turned into hatred.
のように「変化して変わる」というケースに使います。
また、他動詞としてturnを使い、
turn A into B「AをBに変える」---turn water into steam 「水を蒸気に変える」
といった使い方もできます。

turn into～
（変化して）～になる
Water turns into steam when it's boiled. 沸騰して、水は蒸気に変わる
Sympathy often turns into love. 同情が愛に変わることはよくある
turn A into B AをBに変える

Heat turns water into steam. 熱が水を蒸気に変える

turn up～ 音量を上げる↔turn down～ 音量を下げる
I turned up(down) the volume. 音量を上げた（下げた）
turn up 現れる
She hasn't turned up yet. 彼女はまだ現れない
turn down～ 却下する、断る
He turned down a good offer. 彼は条件のよい申し出を断った
turn out～ ～であることがわかる、判明する
The information of production delay turned out to be true. 生産遅れの情報は本当だと判明した
＝It turned out that the information of production delay is true.
turn one's attention to～ ～に注意を向ける
Now, let's turn our attention to global warming. 次に、地球温暖化に注意を向けてみましょう（について説明します）
global warmingは、「地球温暖化」という意味ですが、
