getの動詞句-get over～とget through～の違いを解説
getの動詞句は、数多くありますが、
ここでは、大きく3つの型に分類して紹介したいと思います。
まず、「get+前置詞」型の動詞句です。
初歩的な動詞句としては、
get in/get on/get off/get out of～/get upなどがありますが、
ここでは、少し紛らわしい動詞句を中心に紹介したいと思います。
例えば、
get over～とget through～の違いは、わかるでしょうか？
getには、
「手に入れる」という意味だけでなく、
「～（という状態）になる」という意味があります。
そのため、
get over～は、
「over（乗り越えている状態）になる」なので、
「～に打ち勝つ／～から回復する」
という2つの意味での使い方があります。
get over the difficulty 困難に打ち勝つ
get over from this shock ショックから回復する
一方、
get through～は、
「through（最初から最後まで完了している状態）になる」なので、
そこから派生し、
「やり通す、仕事を片付ける／～を通り抜ける／（～と）連絡を取る／話を理解させる」
というさまざまな意味で使われます。
get through with my work 仕事を片付ける
get through this door. このドアを通り抜ける
get through to her 彼女と連絡を取る
get through to your son. 息子に話を理解させる
次に覚えたいのが、「get+形容詞（過去分詞）」型の動詞句です。
getの後に、状態を表す語（形容詞もしくは過去分詞）を置く形で、
「～という状態になる」という意味になります。
get+形容詞
get angry 怒る／get sick 病気になる／get ready 準備できる
get well 体調がよくなる／get warm 暖かくなる
get+過去分詞
get married 結婚する／get lost 道に迷う／get excited 興奮する
get seated 座れる／get drunken 酔っ払う
最後は、「get+名詞」型の動詞句で、
この型では、多くの場合
getが、「手に入れる」という意味で使われています。

get the ride rideを手に入れる＝乗せてもらう
