worthとdeserveの違いを解説
worthは、形容詞で、
「～の価値がある」という意味を持ちます。
後に名詞や動名詞を取って、
This song is worth listening to. この曲は聴く価値がある
This lesson is worth the expense. この授業は、お金を払う価値がある
のように使います。
一方、deserveは動詞で、
「～に値する」という意味を持ちます。
「～にふさわしい、当然だ」などの訳のほうがしっくりくるかもしれません。
人や行いを主語にし、後に名詞を取って、
He deserves recognition (punishment). 彼は称賛（罰）に値する
≓He deserved to be recognized (punished).
のように使います。
worthとdeserveの違いをまとめると、次のようになります。

worth:形容詞---もの・事＋be worth+名詞（句）
worthは、お金の価値について述べる場合に使われる
deserve:動詞---人・行い＋deserve+名詞（句）
deserveは、悪いこと（罰を受けるに値するなど）にも使える

1.～するに値する、価値がある
worth+名詞
That exhibition is worth a visit. その展示会は行く価値がある
This improved method is worth a try. この改善した方法は、やってみる価値がある
worth+～ing
That exhibition is worth visiting. その展示会は行く価値がある
＊visiting itとはしないよう注意する
It's worth asking someone who has the expertise. 専門知識を持った誰かに聞いてみる価値はある
expertiseは、「専門知識」ですが、
expert/professional/professionなどの関連語句
との使い分けができるようにしておきましょう！
2.金銭的に～の価値がある
My car is worth two million yen. 私の車は、200万円の価値がある
This picture is worth little. この絵には、あまり価値がない
3.～の財産がある（この意味の場合は、人が主語になる）
He is worth over two hundred million yen. 彼の資産は、2億円を超えている

次の3つの形で、良いことにも悪い事柄にも使うことができます
1.deserve something
This new technology deserves attention. この新技術は、注目に値する
He devoted himself to this project. So he deserves recognition. 彼は、称賛に値する
≓His contribution to this project deserves recognition. 彼のプロジェクトへの貢献は、称賛に値する
