crowdedとcongestedの違いを解説
crowdは、「群衆」という意味ですが、
crowdedは、
群衆がたくさんいる＝「混雑した」という意味の形容詞です。
電車なら「満員の」a crowded train、
街なら、「人口過密な」a crowded city
という意味になります。
また、
crowded agenda「盛りだくさんの議題」
crowded schedule「過密スケジュール」
という使い方もできます。
一方、congestedは、
隙間がないほど「密集した、混雑した」という意味です。
cowdedよりも、さらに混雑していることを表すことができ、
TOEICでは、この意味で、頻繁に登場します。
また、congetedは、
目なら「充血した」
鼻なら「鼻づまりの」
という意味でも使われます。

2．盛りだくさんの、多忙な
We had a crowded agenda in the meeting yesterday. 昨日の会議は、議題が盛りだくさんだった

The new road will alleviate the traffic jam in this congested area. 新道路によって、この交通過密地区の渋滞が緩和される
2.充血した、鼻詰まりの
Your eyes are slightly congested. あなたの目は、少し充血している
My symptoms include congested nose and cough. 私の症状は、鼻づまりと咳です
(be) congested with～ ～で密集（混雑）している
This page congested with images is difficult to understand. 図が密集したこのページは、理解するのが難しい
The highway was congested with thousands of cars. 高速道路は、数千台の車で渋滞した
thousands of～「数千の」という形の時だけsを付けます。
数字の「5000」は、five thousandが正しくて、five thousandsは間違いです。
